Job hunters urged to attend Ribbon Court recruitment day
Job-seekers who are interested in working with people who need care and support are being invited to apply for jobs at a £6.5 million Coventry care scheme.
Ribbon Court, managed by Ashram Housing Association, has a number of vacancies including jobs for an assistant cook, a receptionist, team leaders and night staff.
They are also looking for five personal assistants, who will help residents with day-to-day activities, such as shopping and attending appointments, and provide care.
A recruitment day will be held at the sheltered housing scheme on the Foleshill Road, Foleshill, next Wednesday (14 December) from 10am to 6pm.
Job hunters will be able to fill in application forms on the day and chat to residents who will be involved in helping to recruit staff to work at Ribbon Court, which opened in 2009.
Jean Tompkins, Head of Health and Social Care at Ashram Housing Association, said: “Creating new job opportunities for local people is really important to us as an organisation, which is why it’s great to be able to offer 11 permanent positions.
“We’re looking for people who are enthusiastic, like working as part of a team and have a real passion for caring and working with people who need care and support.
“We would urge anyone who is interested in working with us to come along to the recruitment day to find out more.”
Ribbon Court is an extra care sheltered housing scheme with 50 one and two bedroom self contained apartments for people aged over 55.
It has a host of top communal facilities, including a restaurant, garden and a well-being centre, which offers affordable treatments like reflexology and massage.
The care scheme is managed by not-for-profit Ashram Housing Association, which is part of the Accord Group - one of the largest housing groups in the West Midlands.
